Artist’s Talk: AI Art  with William Martin, Sat. Dec 16, 7 pm

Join us at UAP Gallery as we host William Martin for an artist’s talk about his latest exhibition, Ocular, on display through January 4, 2024.

The talk begins at 7PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023. There will be light refreshments, and time for conversation before and after.

In his inaugural series of limited edition prints, the title is based on both meanings of ocular – a physical lens, and the act of looking.

Unlike the mercurial art form of lithography, these prints are not the result of physical processes affected by temperature, humidity, ink viscosity, or the physical nature of oil, stone, and water.

In these new prints, the artist began by creating images with a NIKON D7200 camera in a variety of environments. Employing a unique method developed for use in collaboration with artificial intelligence (AI), the artist has culled from the possibilities, curating the images into this series.

Ocular is on display until January 4, 2024.
